I have been on a travelling adventure, healing my heart and expanding my soul’s horizons. I’ve been in Mexico for a month and am now heading to Montreal for the month of May. This past winter I was in a writing frenzy back in Nelson, BC. I finished the manuscript to my memoir and will be sending it to publishing for a hopeful publishing date this Fall of 2024. I also wrote no less than 14 new songs!! I’m now on the road with only a pair of headphones as my studio, but it gives me great pleasure to send you the first raw mix of this winter’s harvest. Listen to Break Down on Soundcloud. I am putting these mixes in a folder called “Pre-Production” because yes, you guessed it – I want to make a new album! |
Please come along on my pre-production journey! Over the next weeks I will be sending you raw tracks from my writing during the Fall -Winter 2023. This is your privilege for being in my “inner circle” (email list) You get me raw, vulnerable and unplugged. In return I am asking you to: #1 – please invite friends to join my inner circle!! More following equals more connections equals more of my music getting out there!! Please tell your friends about your newly blooming songwriter friend (me) coming out soon with a new album. Invite them to get in on Song In Your Inbox by visiting by homepage: www.zoeyhanawren.com Even if you can only think of one friend to invite, that would be great! You can send them to my homepage to sign up. Thank you Sooooo Much for your support! |

Here is your song for this week: Break Down Break Down – Zoey Hana Wren Every time I fall I’m falling for you again Every time I fall It hurts just the same Thinking I had made My way to the top again There is always further to go It will take some time to climb out up again It will take some time before I feel safe Talking on the phone In tiny segments Pulling at my hair Until it fragments What was it you said About a woman? What was it you did Without me there? I reach back in time Try to define Walls that went up Subtle at first Building upon Where we could not Help each other Break down Break down Break down On my own Now I know On my own Now I know I can break down Break down Break down And survive Every time I fall All my love, – Zoey |
